Tooltip.js is a slick lightweight customizable JavaScript plugin that replaces the default behaviour of the HTML title="" attribute with an unobtrusive customizable popup that is easy on the eye.

Tooltip uses only JavaScript and CSS (no images) and is supported by all major browsers. Hover over any boldface element or image on this page for a demonstration.
